HOURS OF OPERATION

Parking meters are enforced in the Borough for Princeton on Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 7 PM, with the following exceptions:

Long-term parking lots vary, and enforced from 8 AM to 6 PM or from 6 AM to 6 PM
The meters in front of WAWA are enforced from 8 AM to 9 PM Monday through Sunday.

Time limits and hours of enforcement for parking meters are posted on signs in every metered area, as well as on each parking meter.

The purpose of time limits is to ensure that parking spaces regularly become available for customers of area business and visitors to the downtown.

ON-STREET PARKING IN NON-METERED AREAS

Time limits and hours of enforcement are posted on signs in each residential area that allows on-street parking, and need to be adhere to at all times.

LOADING ZONES

Parking is permitted in loading zones after hours of enforcement for that specific area.

All meters will accept Smart Cards, U.S. nickels, dimes and quarters. It is illegal to put anything other than these coins in a meter, or to tamper with a meter in any way

Rates vary per location, and are generally lower outside of the Central Business District.

	2 hours	$1.25 per hour (OR) $1.00 per hour (OR) .75 per hour
	5 hours	$1.00 per hour
	10 hours	$1.00 first 2 hours and .60 for each subsequent hour (OR) .75 first 2 hours and .40 for each subsequent hour (OR) .40 per hour
	12 hours	.30 per hour
	14 hours	.30 per hour


MUNICIPAL PARKING GARAGE at SPRING STREET
PAY-ON-FOOT QUICK PAY STATIONS Payment for parking should be made PRIOR to returning to your car by utilizing one of the Pay-On-Foot Quick Pay Stations located on the lower level of the parking garage by all main entrances. Payment can be made by cash, credit, or Smart Card.

Monday - Saturday 9 AM to 9 PM:

PRIVATE PARKING GARAGES at CHAMBERS STREET AND HULFISH STREET

PRINCETON PUBLIC LIBRARY

Beginning February 5, 2007 all Princeton Borough and Township Residents utilizing the Princeton Public Library will be provided with up to 30 minutes of FREE parking at the Spring Street Municipal Garage while at the Library and other downtown activities.

All subsequent parking time will be charged at the normal garage rate.
There is NO Library validation necessary with this new policy.

For savings and ease of entering and exiting the Spring Street Municipal Parking Garage use a Smart Card, which can be purchased at the Garage.
